Chisara Agor grew up in London, Peckham and is of Jamaican and Nigerian heritage. Kicking off her music career in Madrid, Spain during her year abroad to study philosophy on her return to the UK she continued her success into all aspects of the arts. Chisara is an Artist who endeavours to create meaningful and inspiring work in a world that is rapidly changing and growing. As an inter-disciplinary artist working in music, theatre and dance Chisara combines her talents through the work she creates and performs in. This includes songwriting and composition, live art and workshops with young people in the local and wider area in the creative arts. Chisara is currently the lead tap dance tutor at Theatre Peckham.

Chisara wishes for her practice to engage with the world and yet sometimes be an escape from it. This is why running through her work is this sense of introspection, social awareness and philosophy. Her latest releases have featured on BBC Radio London, Radio 6 and Radio Nacional España and she has performed in venues such as Southwark Playhouse, Southbank Centre, Jazz cafe London and The Birmingham Rep. 

Chisara holds a Bachelors degree from The University of Essex in Philosophy and Modern Languages, she also holds an Masters in Philosophy and Art History from the same institution specialising in contemporary critical theory. She studied abroad at Madrid Cumplutense in 2014 to study philosophy.
