What We Do In Dreams

(BBC Arts and The Institute of Contemporary Arts)

What happens when dreams move from an unconscious retelling of the day's events, to conveying something about who we are and where we might be heading? This is what is explored in this audio work by Chisara Agor as she remotely interviews participants about a dream experience that led them to question not only their reality but also their inner lives, experiences and relationship to themselves and the world.

Flowing between dream state and waking reflections What We Do In Dreams submerges you into the dreamers world of their own retelling. Blending acoustic, electric sounds, vocals and instrumentation to support and echo the dreamers stories Chisara intends to create a space for inspiration and reflection on our own dream practice. Through jazz, folk and experimental music genres and verbatim story telling listeners will take a journey within the dreamers own mind, linking them to the unified dream world we may all have access to and demonstrating how in doing so, we too can better understand our own realities.

Aired on BBC Introducing Arts BBC Radio 6 Huw Stephens 2022 and exhibited at The ICA 2022.
